The Hague
The Hague is a growing and challenging metropolis. The steady stream of new residents is spurred by the presence of numerous international organisations. The Hague has the task of building 50,000 new homes and creating 50,000 new jobs for these new residents. This growth means more affordabele homes in a liveable and future-oriented environment: a green, sustainable and healthy city for all residents of the city. In the coming years by far the most new homes will be realized in three area's of The Hague: Binckhorst, Central Innovation District (CID) and The Hague Southwest. The Hague is working towards a housing production of 4,000 homes per year, which will be developed in parallel with green spaces and commercial and social facilities. In addition, there is space for offices and companies. For the next twenty years, with these three urban development area's, The Hague will work on the basis of coherent vision of living, working, greenery, nature and recreation on a future-proof city.
